I just got the retail version of this game. After patching the game up, do you think it is better for a newcomer to install the Complete mod. Or try the vanilla version? By now, would it look too outdated without the Complete mod?

Mod

I'm generally not someone who likes to spend hours trying to learn and perfect complex and shaky game mechanics--as I've heard, the original unmodded game is very raw and unforgiving and requires endless hours backtracking between the same locations. I'm neither a smart gamer nor a patient one, so therefore I imagine 'vanilla stalker' is not for me.

I've also heard that the Complete mod removes some of the artistic merit of the original game. Anything to that? I like developers who aren't afraid to have an original vision, but if that means cramming loads of information into my head and spending hours at my PC screen just trying to learn how to play, well then that is not for me. Gaming is just not important enough to demand so much attention from me, especially when I need to spend more time tackling the real world, and not a virtual one, LOL. I don't need the game to hold my hand like Elder Scrolls 4, but I also don't want to feel like a slow wit in an Honors class, always behind the curve and being punished for it. What do you guys think?

Hardcore STALKER purists need not apply here, because I already know what you think! Headbobbing is severe in vanilla, just look at the gun sway when you run. And no, one of the main things that Complete does that Lurk does not is keep the artistic vision that the devs had in mind for the game. It's just a rehaul of textures, makes nighttime a bit darker (which helps with being stealthier than vanilla allows), adds severe weather (which adds to immersion, imo), removes headbobbing, adds sleeping and fast travel, among other things. Crack do soldiers ludzie honoru chomikuj gry psp. Complete is designed for newcomers and veterans running better hardware than when they previously played. Vanilla is fun to be honest, but Complete is named such as they feel it has made the game complete, and fittingly so.

Oh and it also allows for third and first person. By Elder Scrolls 4 for you mean Oblivion? So I installed the Complete mod anyway, trusting that overall it is the better experience and also a faster experience. Anyway, here's a question.

I'm trying the teleport/quick-travel thing that the Complete mod offers. I used it to go back to Sidarovich so I didn't have to bother wasting a medkit in the electro tunnel (and I can't handle the guards yet.) But then I tried using the Teleport go back to the Garbage, and it took me to a room I haven't even been to yet. Moving a few steps to try to leave the room, the game then asks 'Do you want to travel to the next area?' I answer no but the game keeps asking anyway. Answering yes, then I'm taken somewhere else and it tells me to kill the head Bandit.
