The software is designed for Volvo diagnostics 850, C70, S40, V40, S70, V70, 940, 960, S90, V90 produced after 1995. Specific manufacturer's standard protocol (not OBDII standard) is used for communication with the vehicle. Vehicles are equipped with 16-pin connector that looks like OBDII SAE J1962 connector. Full Vol-FCR Coverage list is available here The basic advantage of the software is the possibility to read and clear diagnostic codes from the engine, gearbox, ABS, SRS and many other modules. These functions are not supported by the OBDII communication protocol. Module coverage includes: • Engine Petrol and Diesel (does not work for all the models, in that case use OBDII diagnostic tool) • ABS brakes • Automatic transmission • SRS - Airbag and other protection systems • Driver and Passenger seat memories • Instruments including service light reset (only some models) • ECC Climate Control - Air conditioning • Immobiliser • Alarm The software is not offered free of charge - you need to buy it (price around 100 GBP).
